Bio

Lorenzo Alberton is the Chief Technical Architect at DataSift, where he's helping a highly talented team processing thousands of messages per second from Twitter and other data sources. Previously, he's been working for several enterprise companies in UK and Europe (BBC, Channel 5, AVG, C&W, ...) where he learnt solid architecture principles from incredible people and played with amazing large scale projects. He is a regular conference speaker and an eclectic software engineer with a wide range of interests, spanning from scalable architectures to database design, from algorithms and data structures to natural language processing and machine learning.
